We had a very busy (and for the most part very fun) October! We started the month with our big Steve, Laura and Jack vacation- haven't been on one of those for a long long time! It was nice to enjoy some time together with no other distractions (specifically work for both Steve and I.... and mostly Steve!)! We decided to take another Disney vacation (what can we say- they are just to family friendly!), starting with a shorter 4 day cruise and ending with four days at Disney world. Jack has started enjoying many of the Disney movies, so it was fun to have him know who some of the characters were :) There are a lot of pictures in this post, so hold on to your hats!
| Jack at Cape Canaveral- the line was so loooong to see Mickey, so we kinda cheated.... |
| The first thing we did when we got on the boat? ICE CREAM! Jack thought this was a definite best part of the trip, and we took many a trip to the soft serve counter! |
| Steve and I had to indulge in a couple of (non-alcoholic) specialty drinks while on board- we started off with a couple of pina coladas.... mmmm! |
| All dressed up for our (semi) formal night! We really enjoyed the dinners on the ship! |
| Our second stop of the cruise at Disney's private island. It was very beautiful, but also very hot and crowded so we didn't spend a lot of time on the island :P |
| They had this sweet splash pad that Jack really loved, and Steve tolerated so his pregnant wife didn't have to get wet! |
| Our first stop after getting to Disneyworld- Epcot! They had the Food and Wine festival happening, which was really cool! Lots of different food booths from around the world! |
| This was the biggest hit of the day for Jack, a miniature train village right by Germany. He could have stayed there all day! |
| We of course had to stop by Club Cool and sample the many different sodas made by Coca Cola around the world. And Jack of course had to make a train out of his different soda filled cups. |
| Since Steve was going out of town for Halloween, we decided to enjoy the Halloween party that the Magic Kingdom puts on during October. Jack was a stinking cute monkey :) |
| The Halloween firework show was awesome. We all loved watching it, and saw it one or two more times from the beach of our resort later that week. |
| A classic Animal Kingdom picture, only this time we were all in the show. At this point in the day the sun was out and it was very pleasant, but the rainclouds came only a few hours later and drenched everything! Luckily, it was a fairly short storm this day! |
| They have a fun petting zoo that Jack got a kick out of this time. He loved following around the goats and sheep inside the gates. |
| and figured out pretty quickly that he could use these brushes to brush them! |
| With my little Jack (about two months old) |
| With my big boy Jack (2 years old!)- had to recreate the shot! |
| This day it was raining like crazy, and it was dumb because the crowds were as crazy as I've ever seen them despite it! Jack had a slight obsession with Goofy during this trip, and we loved it :P We took advantage of the short line to see him, and it was worth the wait :) |
| This is right after we got home, at 25 weeks pregnant. Rocking the green shirt and flower ;) |
| My dear family kept Jack and I entertained many a night near the end of October as Steve had to take a 2 week business trip to China :( This hayride was part of a trip to the pumpkin patch down in Payson, UT. We had a great time! |
| I felt pretty lucky to catch Jack looking through the face hole! Grandpa P is always so fun! |
| As are the uncles! How much fun can be had with big trucks and these three? Way to much! |
I don't have my pictures from Halloween night downloaded yet, so I'll have
to make an addendum to this entry, but this is at least a glimpse of all the excitement we've been enjoying :) October is only the start of all the fun end of year holidays, so I'm sure we'll have much more to report later on as well!
