Immediately following Steve's China business trip at the end of February, we came out to Colorado for a week to scout out the area and find a place to live. It was a fun trip, but very busy. We saw houses on our own for the first couple days, and then with an awesome real estate agent named Margi the last day. We figured out that in the end we probably looked at about 30 different homes. Jack started complaining when we got him in the car the last day :P We had dinners with co-workers most nights, and Steve spent many of his mornings at the office (leaving us in the ever smaller hotel room to somehow pass the time without the Disney Channel!). Thankfully, our mission was completed, and we found an amazing house to rent. We actually found two homes that we loved, and were really close to signing a contract on one when several things all hit the fan at the same time and we dropped it very last second. Looking back now we are so glad that we did, we ended up in the perfect place for us. Not only is the home close to perfect, but the landlords are awesome and take great care of us! I am still working on the decor, as it is pretty much twice as big as our condo with many more windows and bigger walls. I'm pretty close to being done (or reasonably so), and I'll have to post some pictures of the place when that happens :) In the meantime, here are just a couple shots from our scouting trip.
